Ben Cipolla

Jazz, Pop & Covers

Possessing a naturally languid and confident vocal style Ben Cipolla is a Wiltshire-based singer-songwriter whose seamless time-signature hopping and intoxicating guitar technique captures a diverse spirit and singular energy in his performance.

He cut his musical teeth as a precocious young busker and his songs has since migrated from the streets to the nation’s speakers, airing his material on BBC Introducing Sessions and Clare Teal’s Radio 2 show. Cipolla recently supported 80’s sensation Swing Out Sister at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2019.

His major career highlight was his debut performance at the BBC Swing Jazz Prom in August 2017, and subsequently released his debut album ‘Jungle Kingdom’ which was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios. His songwriting produces a sonic smorgasbord of jazz and soul influences, which has developed his voice style into a truly spectacular rich instrument. Many fans describe his voice as like ‘having liquid chocolate dripped in your ears’.

This lad is simply great. Fresh words, good stories, ace musicianship. He will be huge. Mark my words
