Mike Evans

Mike has been working as a musician for 13 years. His experience ranges from singing for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus in Edinburgh, to founding and drumming for the band CITIZENS! and most recently drumming for FRANZ FERDINAND.

As well as being a musician, Mike has organised and worked at hundreds of events, his main observation being that music always plays a crucial role in their success. It was whilst working at a private dinner party in 2019 that he had his lightbulb moment. He was asked for several music recommendations to kick off the evening as the host hadn’t thought about it; he ended up curating a playlist for them and the idea for MYMUSO was born.

In his spare time Mike likes to cook, release his own music, and has collaborated with electronic duo Alpines, CORINTHIANS and the legendary 70’s folk-rock band Trees.

Ellen Arkwright

Alongside Mike, Ellen is the founder of MYMUSO. She initially trained as a classical singer with Joan Rodgers CBE at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where she later graduated with a first class honours degree in 2017. 

During and after her studies she performed in numerous opera productions, oratorio performances in some of countries biggest cathedrals, choirs, jazz ensembles and function bands. She is passionate about music of all genres after accumulating a breadth of knowledge across the industry, and it is safe to say she knows what music gets a party started! 

During her time at Trinity Laban Ellen came across some incredibly talented musicians who certainly kept her on her toes and who remain firm friends to this day. A huge driving force behind MYMUSO is having artists on the roster who Mike and Ellen trust implicitly as friends and colleagues, as a bonus they are incredible musicians. 

When she isn’t singing or working with Mike, Ellen is a keen runner and cyclist, having run The London Marathon 2019 for the Dementia Revolution, a cause close to her heart.
